A Message from Conservatives for CANZUK

Conservatives for CANZUK welcome today’s announcement; it delivers on the first stage of CANZUK and the promise we know it offers. Britain currently enjoys trade with Australia totalling £16,041 million and with New Zealand worth £2,720 million. The opportunity to lower barriers will enhance that trade, lowering the price of goods and enriching our societies.

Strengthening economic ties between our three nations does not just bring financial reward however, though it undoubtedly will to our pharmaceutical, aerospace and other export sectors, but can and should form the basis of further agreements going forward which will fundamentally reshape our future relationship with the CANZUK nations.

We congratulate the Rt Hon Liz Truss on delivering this and are pleased to see this Conservative government seizing the opportunities presented by Brexit and securing the future of global Britain.

It is now the duty of all Conservatives to work together to ensure this marks only the first stage on the road to delivering CANZUK. If you, like us, share a belief in the possibility of a new and better future for this nation and our overseas cousins please join us and support our work.
