Conservative party endorses CANZUK

We are delighted to announce that the Conservative party has endorsed CANZUK: committing to put it in the next manifesto and make it a key priority for the next Conservative government.

This is the culmination of more than two years of our work, and we thank our caucus and supporters for their hard work to make CANZUK a key plank of Conservative foreign policy.

The announcement comes after the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Pierre Poilievre, visited London to advocate for CANZUK, including at a drinks reception we hosted (alongside the Conservative International Club) in the Carlton Club. Whilst he did this, the Canadian Prime Minister met with his Australian counterpart to sign a new critical minerals agreement. In New Zealand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs continues his years-long campaign in support for CANZUK.

We are progressing towards CANZUK. Our work will now focus on ensuring the right policies underpin CANZUK and that Labour and Reform join the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats in supporting it.

CANZUK is coming. We just need to embrace it.
